Who we are

Rachael Taliancich, LPC, RPT, EMDR Certified

Rachael is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Registered Play Therapist (RPT), and EMDR Certified Therapist. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Dallas and her master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Rachael is also a member of the American Counseling Association, the Association for Play Therapy, and the EMDR International Association.

Rachael grew up as an “army brat,” moving frequently throughout childhood and adolescence. These experiences helped shape her appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and life stories, and fostered a deep belief that everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, understood, and cared for.

Like many people, Rachael’s professional journey took a few meaningful turns before she found her true calling. She began her career in information technology, then made a significant shift in 2007 into childcare as a provider and administrator. It was during this time that her passion for supporting children and families truly took root. Working closely with families reinforced her holistic view of counseling with recognizing that individuals do not exist in isolation, but are deeply connected to their families and broader systems, each influencing strengths, challenges, and growth.

In 2020, Rachael began her counseling career, where she now feels deeply honored to support others in their healing and personal growth. She believes clients are the experts in their own experiences and works collaboratively to create a safe, supportive relationship grounded in empathy, acceptance, trust, and compassion. Rachael provides counseling, coaching, EMDR, and play therapy services to children, adolescents, parents, and adults.

Rachael lives in Wylie with her husband, daughter, and three energetic dogs, and she also has two wonderful adult step-children. Outside of work, she enjoys meaningful time with friends and family, watching more TV than she’d like to admit, crocheting, and training her dogs with hopes that one day a therapy dog may become part of the healing journey for her clients.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

Clients often describe working with me as feeling safe, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you can show up just as you are without pressure, judgment, or expectations to have everything figured out.

I believe healing happens within relationships built on trust and understanding. Together, we move at your pace, focusing on what feels most important to you. I offer gentle guidance, practical tools, and thoughtful reflection, while always honoring your lived experience and personal strengths.

Whether I’m working with children through play, supporting teens as they navigate growth and identity, or helping adults process life’s challenges, my approach is grounded in compassion, curiosity, humility, and respect. My goal is for you to feel heard, empowered, and supported as you build resilience, deepen self-awareness, and move toward meaningful change.
